I’ve been going to maxfit for over 10 years.  Started out doing Zumba  then added yoga.

  Tim and I both were wanting to get in better shape and lose weight. So I decided I’ll  check into this trainer thing —lose some weight and figure out some of the gym equipment and move on.  That was 2017……

  August 2017 I started doing some pm boot camp and 1 evening a week with Alison Rich in addition to yoga.

Changed to 2 one on one sessions with Alison thinking I was bumping up my game and still thinking “do this for just a little while”. 

My weight has varied  I lost a total of 50 pounds but have since gained some back because we all know life happens.

  Life has happened to both Alison and myself and we’ve talked each other off a limb more than once.

  These 7 years have been more than just a stength training weight loss session we have become the best of friends.  

  Alison is the real deal—Christian and genuine.  So if you need some help getting healthier whether it’s weight loss or nutrition advice check her out.

When I contacted Alison in July 2021, I had been struggling with my weight for years. My highest weight was 290. I had tried everything diet known to mankind. I had gotten to 259 when I finally decided to get with her about meal planning. Having a meal plan helped me so much! It was easy to get into a routine of meal prepping twice a week. And slowly started seeing changes on the scale and in inches. Her meal plans are so easy to follow and you learn how nutrition works for your body. I am now at 185 and feel so much healthier. I couldn’t be happier my only regret is not finding her sooner.

I have been training with Alison for nearly 6 years and she continues to push me with challenging (and somehow FUN) workouts. She is the absolute BEST at everything she does as she does it with her whole heart. Your goals are HER goals and she will push you to new levels before you realize it. My number one goal has always been simply to be STRONG and she definitely understands the assignment. I’m at my best because of her. She’s my biggest critic and cheerleader all at the same time!  I could not have made it this far without her support and believing in me even more than I do myself!

I’ve been a client of Alisons for over 4 years now. I can definitely say she meets you where you are in your physical abilities, makes assessments of your goals and makes a plan to achieve those goals. Her mindset toward helping you be the healthiest version of yourself if unmatched. You won’t find a more encouraging, insightful, or knowledgeable coach/trainer. I have been training on a weekly basis with Alison for over 5 years. When I started I couldn’t even do 1 pushup after years of working in the dental field. She has designed a program for me that includes cardio, strength and weight training .  She pushes me when I want to quit , making me a stronger female in my day to day life . I have strengthened my core, gained muscle , toned up my arms and legs , and lost inches in the right places.Maintaining muscle is key to me, Alison keeps me on track with dietary in take as well . 

Alison is much more than a trainer,   She anticipates your needs on a very personal, specific level, building your program to give you the dynamic and active lifestyle, strength ,and helps you build muscle .  As a person, Alison is a genuine caring person who loves her clients as family.  I would be lost without Alisonin my life!

Going to the gym wasn’t or hasn’t ever been a problem for me. That was the easy part. Nutrition was and still is the part I struggle with. I started working with Alison on my nutrition in March 2020 right as Covid was beginning to shut everything down. We barely had established my plan and I was struggling to grasp this new lifestyle. Alison never let me give up and we continued through all the speed bumps Covid placed in our way. Through out the shutdowns Alison continued to show up for her people. She did check ins at her home, posted works out on social media for her people and anyone that wanted a challenge, and met people in the park for 1 on 1 workout sessions. I say all that to say that once you are in Alison’s “bubble” her dedication to your wellness and being is rival to none other. She puts her everything into her clients. In the past three years, I have wanted to give up some weeks/days. She never let me! She always knew/knows what to say or do to get me back on track or in the mindset to remember what my goals were/ARE and why I AM doing this. I continue to have up and downs with my nutrition but one thing that never waivers is her belief in me. She never makes me feel guilty or shame! Never judges! Above and beyond everything I have gained through this, I have gained someone who has become absolutely one of my best friends. Getting back in the gym sometimes can be overwhelming.  That is how I felt in 2017 when I made a decision it was time to get back in shape.  Where to start?   What to do?  It had been so long since I had been able to go to the gym that I felt lost and out of place.  That is when I met Alison.  She had just started working as a personal trainer so I decided to give her classes a try.  Well, long story short.  I am still with her!   From the start she motivates and encourages you push yourself to be your best.  There is no judgement, no shame, or no reason to feel embarrassed.  If you cannot do something, well she just keeps encouraging you until you can.  I started out with one personal training session once a week.  Quickly I added on a group class and then another group class and then another.  Alison is a trainer who cares about her clients.  She only feels successful when her clients are successful.  She is a trainer who gets to know you and how to make you a better person.  Her personal training sessions and her group classes are positive environments that only build you up and encourage you to be better.  I cannot imagine not being a part of her classes.  Even in group classes she can modify exercises on the spot if needed based on my needs or limitations.  The goals she creates for her clients are based on lifestyle changes.  She not only creates personalized workouts, but as a certified nutritionist, she also creates personalized meal plans.  For the past 6 years she has been a part of my life always pushing me to be better.  If you want a trainer/nutritionist who truly cares about your health and well-being, Alison is the one!!

I was super intimidated when I joined the gym and started seeing Alison for 1:1 sessions. I had no idea what to expect and just wanted to be skinny in a short amount of time. What I found was someone that has made it her life goal to help others. Alison helped me understand that the journey was not going to be a short one and needed to be a way of life and that she would be beside me as my biggest cheerleader every step of the way. And she has done just that. She has been right beside me over the last few years and  motivated me to keep going when I have felt like stopping. Alison has shown the kind of enthusiasm and passion for living a healthy, sustainable life that I never knew before before starting down this path.
